Honda recently released a narrated comic of their history of their Japanese YouTube page - with English dubbing, thankfully - that explains how Soichiro Honda came up with the idea for his first line of vehicles: motorcycles! After having an excess of engines left to him, he knew he could do something great with them... then noticed how much work people had to do as they did their errands on their bikes all day.
