When it comes to the Honda Civic, you have quite a few options available to you based on your driving needs. While some may opt for the sedan variant, there is also a coupe iteration that's also available. And further still, if you'd like something even sportier, there's the Civic Type R for your needs.
The Civic Type R is, simply put, a hot hatch that draws heavily on Honda's racing DNA. For years, their racing division has built a name for itself with its powerful and fuel efficient engines--not that far off from the kind you'll find in the models available on our lot.
What's better is that Honda has been preparing its generational update for the Civic Type R for quite some time. We've seen some spy shots of a cladded test model, but it won't be until the Geneva Motor Show in a couple of weeks that we'll get to see the production-near prototype.
Fortunately for us, Honda has given us a sneak peak early.
The renderings they gave us display the car from the back, but it still gives us a pretty good idea of what we can expect. There's a mighty fine rear spoiler to soak in, as well as two dual exhaust ports. We'll get our first real look in a couple weeks, as we said, where we're stokes to see the car in the flesh.
