Honda is about to officially debut the FCEV Concept at the L.A. Auto Show that is currently underway. We have all been eagerly waiting to learn more ever since Honda released a teaser drawing of the model, so we thought we'd take a moment today to go over some of the latest details

For those of you in the Salem, OR area who aren't familiar with the FCEV Concept, it's a fuel cell electric vehicle that would add another sustainable option to the new Honda lineup. The automaker hopes to bring this model to the U.S sometime around 2015.

Mike Accavitti, senior vice president of American Honda Motor Co., Inc. explains, "The Honda FCEV Concept demonstrates the company's vision for the future of personal mobility and our commitment to developing advanced alternative fuel vehicles...Our long-term experience with fuel-cell technologies will help us pave a way towards a zero-emissions future."1

Honda has made great progress thus far with vehicles like the FCX Clarity, which was released back in 2008. Although it's only available to select markets, the model is still a major milestone for the automaker as it continues to develop its fuel cell technology.

Based on the futuristic details that adorn the new FCEV concept in the artistic rendering that was released, we have a feeling there will be quite a bit of excitement at the auto show once the model is unveiled. Also on display will be the redesigned 2014 version of the Honda Civic.

As more details are released, we will be sure to continue bringing you the latest news right here on our blog. Until then, stop by Honda of Salem to check out what we currently have to offer. We'd be happy to answer questions, schedule test drives and assist you in every way we can!
