We had to take the new 2013Accord EXL back for warranty review due to a problem with the Honda Link. I found Joe Gonzalez to be very helpful in getting this problem resolved as well as getting our mud flaps that had been ordered as part of our lease deal. We were given a Accord loaner since they wanted to keep the car overnight to confirm that the reboot was successful. I appreciate the comprehensive efforts and it appears as we drive the car today with new mud flaps as well that the correction worked. We had a great experience at O’Brien Honda. Jim did a great job locating the color of CRV we were looking for and found one about a week earlier than we expected. Jim also helped connected our phones to the blue tooth function in the CRV and the gas tank was full when we left.
Our Honda Civic received a 30k service yesterday. Service adviser Joe Gomez explained the recommended services and cost. The work was completed on time and there were no surprises. Everyone who helped me from the service department - Joe and Greg - were very helpful and willing to help me out all they could with getting my older car fixed ... but it was a new transmission and not worth it due to the age of the car.
Larry (head of fleet division) was recommended to me by Joe and was very nice to work with. I was not planning on buying a new car at this time (that was the unfortunate part); however, Larry helped make it a positive experience despite getting hit with the transmission issue. All involved helped to make it a positive experience.
So I would like to commend Joe, Greg (head of service deparment) and Larry ... sorry I don't have their last names with me, but you know who they are.
My experience was fantastic. Sully took really good care of me and babied me for two months after I wrecked my first car purchased in October, just to find me a very safe reliable vehicle. I didn't have to do any negotiating with prices or wait around for financing games. I had the best experience with my car repair this time. My 2009 Accord is having VSA problems. With my first problem, the service Dept wanted me to take the car home and wait for the light to come on again. It has already come on 3-4 times before I brought it in. The light came on as soon as I got back to Corvallis necessitating another trip to Salem the next day.
This time, the service dept. fixed the car the first time I brought it in. (I thought it was the same problem. It wasn't) I casually mentioned that they might as well change the oil since I was here. I was surprised to find that they changed the oil. I half expected them to forget. I would have. Anyway, Jesse Tarter (sp) was my service wirter and he did a wonderful job. Kudos to him!
I thought my experience at your Honda dealership was outstanding. I would like to personally convey how great Jon Hansen is. What a hard worker!
I started this whole thing with a mere inquiry from some ad on the internet, just hoping to find out pricing. And because of Jon’s persistence I ended up buying a car from you. You should reward this young man with some special thing that he loves, a trip, or bonus or something that he likes. This entire experience I had, which was pleasant, was due to his hard work. I’m not saying he deserves a reward for selling ME a car, but I know he probably outsells most of his co-workers, correct? He is truly building a relationship for your dealership in Salem, of which I had no prior contact. Now I know about it and will refer friends there.
The only thing I could ask for that I didn’t get was a lesser price, and I know you have to make a profit to stay in business. So, nothing much I could add to my experience there. I love my new car, and it is my sixth Honda, my fifth accord. I had one Prelude back in 1995.

As I parked my car next to the service entrance, I was surprised and impressed to see Joe greeting me before I even got out of my car. Joe is faster than folks at Les Schwab.

It was a simple oil change so I didn’t even call ahead of time. I was told by one of service rep before that for a simple oil/filter change, I don’t really need to call for an appointment. I have been doing that ever since and I have never had any trouble before and it was same this time.
It was Joe who waited on me this time. It was very busy day and I had to wait for awhile but it was ok because I had nothing to do. When my turn came Joe did his thing and told me it will take about an hour and I said I will wait. Joe explained to me that my wife’s car is due for some major maintenance work and I told Joe I would like to wait until later. Joe never pressured me that I should or need to do this now. I appreciated that much. My car was ready when Joe said it would be. When I was ready to pay, one of your service man walked up to me and explained to me what they did and what they found and what they recommended. Joe was busy with other customer. It was very nice touch and I really like that. I have never seen him there before so he must be new.
You do have very nice staff and they all seem to do very good job. I am very happy and pleased to be your customer.

Hi Lance. Sorry for the delay but a busy past few days. As you know, i purchased the Fit through USAA buying service. I had 5 or 6 hits from dealers in the greater Portland area. However, one name stood out and that would be Patrick Mulhern. Back during my Radiology residency in Iowa City, Iowa in the early 70's i was a good friend of Bob Mulhern. Very unusual name and lo and behold Patrick is from cedar Rapids Iowa.Bob is probably a distant relative. After a long chat about Iowa, wrestling and our military service we got around to the Fit. We agreed on a price and that if the car wasn't ready by the time Sidonie's mother came for a visit you would give her a loner at no additional cost. All worked out for the best. She received the car on the 19th of Dec. We also agreed to a personal check to cover the cost which turned out to be $3 less than the previous price. I have bought many a car in my day but this was the best experience ever. Whether i am in Ca. or Ore. i will make every effort to purchase any future vehicles from you. Kudos to Patrick. Thanks for everything and esp. taking good care of my daughter.
I was thoroughly impressed with my experience at Honda of Salem. I drove 3 hours to do business with Jon Hansen instead of going to Portland. He completed the majority of my paperwork before I arrived at the dealership and had the car and paperwork ready for me to see/drive and complete when I got there. Instead of days spent driving around to several dealerships I was able to find the car I wanted at a price with which I was satisfied. Within an hour I was done and driving away from the lot. The gentleman in your business office (Harry?) was also very helpful and personable instead of pushy. I was also happy that he suggested the 7 year "wear and tear" warranty. It gives me that little bit more peace of mind that I made the right decision to drive further for better service. Many businesses forget the importance of customer service these days but those two guys in your office did not. Thank you for following up with me as well.
I would be glad to share some information with you about my experience at O'Brein Auto Group. I recently leased a 2012 Honda Civic. I was way in over my head with the car I had and my fiance and I went in to see what kind of deal we could get that would get us into a more fuel efficient car with a lower total cost and monthly payment. Our sales guy, Brad, was very friendly, completely honest and extremely patient. He knew we weren't in a good position, he sympathized with us and worked with us. He is exactly the kind of person I like to deal with when buying anything, especially a new vehicle. Brad allowed us to drive the car we were interested in, educated us about the car, and then didn't even push when we told him there were other models of cars we wanted to go drive and other dealerships to visit. He gave us his card, let us know to call if we had any questions and let us walk away. There was no pressure, just friendliness. We went to other dealerships and drove other cars. We weren't looking for anything fancy. All the other cars we drove were very similar to the Civic, but I can tell you with 100% honestly, that Brad is the reason we came back to O'Brien to make our purchase. His customer service was outstanding. My fiance does not make decisions lightly and has to run the numbers himself and analyze everything before doing that and Brad was extremely patient and allowed him to do so.

The no-haggle pricing of the MAPS sale probably helped our experience; that's how we'd prefer to buy a car. Jon took excellent care of us. He presented information lucidly and
thoroughly and was completely non-confrontational. As I told him on Sunday,
it was the most pleasant car-shopping experience in my 64 years.
I can't begin to tell you how much of a difference this last visit was. The service manager who took me out on the road was a very genuine and courteous. I really appreciated the fact that he took the time to go back to the dealership and pick up another CRV and take it out so we could compare the noise I was hearing. He was able to explain where the noise was coming from. And without any further need to hear the door lock make noise he had the motor assembly replaced. This employee deserves a GOLD STAR for service and customer relations. It's when the employee goes that extra mile that keeps happy customers returning for service and future purchases.

Overall had a great experience with O'Brien Honda. Did all my researching and quotes online, Jon Hansen was consistently straight up with me and was quick to respond to questions.
When we picked up our Pilot I noticed a small paint defect in the rear door. Jon looked into it, then even drove up to Beaverton with a loaner car while he got it fixed. That kind of effort and service goes a long way with me.

This was the first time I had ever taken my 2010 Honda CRV into O'Brien. I just retired from teaching and before that, I always had to find a place that was open on weekends to do my oil changes and since my car had a recall that I had not attended to, I decided to do both.
The check in guys were terrific, but they weren't sure how long the recall adjustment would take because of it needing to be hooked to the computer, so they hooked me up with the courtesy car. The guys driving that were great too.
When I went to pick up the car, it was clean and ready to go and the receptionist took my payment and handed over the key with my paperwork.
Everything was seamless; the team should make you proud.

My experience with O'Brien Auto Group could not have been more satisfying.
My salesperson, Stan, was consistently courteous, helpful, knowledgable and friendly, making me feel welcome every time I visited the dealership during the course of the transaction. The terms offered me in purchasing the vehicle and trading my other vehicles were more than fair under the circumstances, specifically in helping me deal with the difficult situation of retrieving and trading a distressed vehicle that had broken down on the coast, prompting my need for a replacement. Matt was also very helpful, courteous, and responsive, quickly providing solutions to ensure that I would purchase the exact vehicle that I desired, while offering me a loaner that fit my needs until the vehicle arrives on your lot.
Your dealership was very competitive in comparison with other Honda dealers in Oregon that I visited, and in many respects, exceeded my expectations in what I was offered as part of the deal, including the display of fairness and professionalism in how terms were finally negotiated. Not once did I feel the "pressure" felt at other dealerships in wanting me to commit until I was comfortable with the information needed to make such an important decision. Finally, during the process of financing and the closing the deal, David was thorough, courteous and knowledgable, offering me the best rates possible, and working with the credit union to ensure that my approval was hassle free.

I brought in my car for an oil change without an appt and Matt was great to work with. He wrote up the order quickly, accepted my coupon, it was ready when promised, an he (Matt) came over to explain the comments on the service report to me. Matt also worked really hard to get the correct pronunciation of my last name. Most people usually just use their own pronunciation skills and end up totally blowing the correct pronunciation. Matt's attention to detail will take him far in his career.
Lance, having purchased many vehicles over my lifetime one common factor is first impressions with sales people. I found Tony to be one of the best I've done business with. He's very personable, professional, and I was at ease working with him the whole time. Years ago a friend who happened to be the father-in-law of a well known local dealer told me despite that, he didn't think he ever got a good deal on a car, of course, somewhat tongue in cheek. But I've always felt that way, too. Even though I paid MSRP for this car I'm comfortable I got a fair deal, considering where you had to go to find the color and model I wanted. I also was finally pleased I wasn't pressured into buying every gimmicky accessory or treatment offered by dealerships whenever a purchase is made. I've fallen for that in the past and spent money that returned no benefit. The few items that aroused interest with my wife and me were explained fully without pressure.

I am writing to let you know what a GREAT experience we had at O'Brien Auto Group, in large part thanks to Jon Hansen. We were searching for a new Honda Odyssey to replace our 2001 Odyssey and started our search at our local Honda dealership. Unfortunately our experience was not what we had hoped it would be so after three days of back and forth, we came home frustrated and turned to the internet to request quotes from other dealers. Jon was quick to respond to my Sunday afternoon online request and let me get right to the point. In a matter of minutes, we had agreed on a price and Jon had confirmed our desired vehicle was in stock. I'm glad you asked! After my appointment yesterday, I knew that I wanted to make sure and call about my Honda service experience. Top notch! In the past I have felt uneasy and anxiety riden about how rushed I felt about every process. I felt like I was an inconvenience rather than a customer which is often the case in a lot of places these days, and especially a female with car issues. Yesterday, was not the case at all!! Even though a lot of customers were coming and going and there was a lot going on, I felt like a valued customer from start to finish. I also appreciated getting updated with a phone call on other services as well as a call for an early finish.
Prior to yesterday's experience I was considering finding another place to get my car serviced when necessary. Not anymore. In fact, the past few experiences at Honda have been very professional and positive. What a relief!
Don't need to send me a Starbucks card, I already have a Gold card. But I
miss Jason who is off pursuing a different career.
However you now have Shawn who is great. Gregg is a great manager. I needed
to leave my car longer than I expected and because I needed to provide
transportation for my grandson, they graciously provided a loaner car.
Your Honda Service is great and they truly know what the word service means
as they show it each and every time I come in.
My car is only 6 years old but has 220,000 miles on it. I do a lot of
highway mileage but because of your great service department it runs as
smoothly and as well as when I bought it new.
Kudos to Shawn, Gregg and all your service staff who greet me by name each
time I come in. Can't forget Dave who has provided shuttle service when I
need to be at work.

I was able to make a service appt. at a time that worked well for me. Matt was very professional and followed through on every promise. The bottle of touch-up paint (of the correct color) that I had requested was already in the car to I did not have to take time at the parts department. The car was clean and ready by the time promised. An added bonus was that I paid no more for the service than if I had gone elsewhere. Overall my experience was excellent.
There is only one problem. My expectations for future visits are set rather high!
I bought a new Fit from your dealership and I have to say it was the least painful of any new car purchase I have made. The sales person, Stan, was knowledgeable, courteous, and represented your company very well. I think the thing that we appreciated more than any other was not having to dicker over the price. We got the car we wanted, painted the color we wanted, within 2 or 3 days. Mike was instrumental in getting the car for us.

Thanks for your email and thanks for a great car buying experience. I probably cannot help you with improving customer service, because I can’t imagine what else anyone could want. I researched the Honda Accord hard before I put out requests for price bids. We knew what we were going to buy, we just didn’t know where. Jon Hanson responded quickly to my request and gave me a no games, no BS price and then stuck to it when we offered to buy the car. You guys were $150 less than the next lowest bid and $1400 less than the highest bid. Coupled with the great service from Jon, where to buy became a pretty easy choice.
Jon has recommended your service department to me so when our Accord needs its first oil change so I will give that a shot. I liked the combination of good service, pleasant people and the best price around. I will happily recommend you to any of my friends or family. We probably won’t be buying another new car soon because from what I understand from all my research is that Hondas pretty much last forever!

I would have never thought about driving to Salem (from PDX) for a car, but Brad at your Honda dealership made the negotiation a snap over the phone. The best part was that we were in and out of the dealership with our new Odyssey van within 1hr. With a 1yr old in toe, we didn’t have a lot of patience for a long purchasing process.
We will definitely look to O’Brien again when we buy our next car.

I live about 50 miles from your dealership and had tried to work with a closer dealership to get a good deal on a Pilot. I was not treated very well at that dealership. This was not the case at Salem Honda. Your staff are great and working with John was a fantastic experience. He did a great job of getting all the details worked out. My wife and I were able to show up at your dealership, take a look at the Pilot and sit down and do the paperwork for the lease.
I have recommended your dealership to several friends already and I will be looking to your dealership in the future to make a purchase on a CRV for a family member.

I recently went into Salem Honda for a oil change and after the service writer got all my information he informed me that I was due for a 30,000 mile service. I had a great experience working with Jon as part of your Internet sales team and your finance guy (John). The best thing I can say is there were no surprises. No hidden costs or unplanned agendas. Everything was straight forward and clear. When I declined an option, I felt no pressure. Maybe it was obvious that I know what I wanted and what I didn’t want.
Anyway, this was a top level “5” experience.

Thanks for your concern on how to improve service to your customers. I will say that of all the cars that I have purchased the complete sales process was hassle free and being able to get a "fair" price for our CRV was without the stress and anxiety that I have experienced in the past. Stan was a joy to work with, we never felt that he was trying to pressure us or make us feel like we were bothering him with our seemingly endless aray of questions. He knows the vehicle well and had a very low key approach in showing us the car. Stan is a asset to your organization.
I just forwarded the letter that I sent to Kendall, in which he sent it back with an apology. They are a nice facility, however, I think that having a new facility with a restaurant, and stuff makes them less on their toes to help out the serious customers.
My family really enjoyed the experience at O'Brien Auto Group. Like I said, we honestly felt like we were family there. I was kicking back on the couch enjoying conversation and song with Todd Jewell, and every employee in the O'Brien family was very sociable, etc.

We LOVE, LOVE the Honda CRX!! It is awesome, both back seat and front. My mom loves driving it, and it is wonderful seeing her happy while driving. My daughter can't wait until Black Friday, we always take advantage of the annual sale. We are Ninja Soldiers of Black Friday, and now we are especially prepared to store our purchases safely in the CRX. This year, we can go back and forth across town on Black Friday while saving on gasoline. It just doesn't get better than that. Had he not told me he was brand new to the group, I would have guessed Todd Jewitt was a seasoned professional. He was great to work with and was very knowledgeable about the Odyssey we selected. Mike Sullivan and John Judkins also spent a great deal of time with our family and let our young daughter explore the inside of a vintage Civic hatchback (which she really got a kick out of).

Due to an unpleasant situation I was faced with the need to find a new vehicle after just purchasing a Honda Odyssey 7 months prior. Today, at O’Brien Auto Group - Honda of Salem, three employees of the Sales team, Brad Meyer, Mike Sullivan and Todd Jewett and a finance manager, Hero Yoon, took my miserable, stressful, unpleasant life circumstance and showed me what true caring, support and kindness is.

Feedback regarding Honda Service on March 23:
1) Joe, at the counter, was very pleasant, businesslike and reviewed my request for an oil change, brake light replacement and then reviewed/suggested other service that was needed. I had a coupon but he offered a better coupon, which was very much appreciated. He helped me move a box out of the trunk to ensure access to replace the brake light.
2) After about 2 hours waiting at home, Joe called me to let me know that there was a oil leak but could wait. And gave me an estimate over the phone, which allowed me to decide to have the repair done or wait. But it is always a bit of a shock to find additional $800 - $1000 repair needed. He called a second time to confirm pickup time.
3) The driver that drove me home and picked me up was also pleasant, polite and I felt safe. He was on-time for picking me up as promised.
4) When I picked up the car, I was happy to find the front carpet vacuumed. (Back carpet was not accessible due to boxes.) But would have been nice if they helped to wipe off the front dashboard. (I didn't notice if the car had an exterior wash... Sorry.)
5) Joe also ensured he reviewed the bill details with me. I appreciated the explanation for the charges and the things that were done and the reminder about the oil leak.
6) Overall, your personnel give a good impression and I feel like I received excellent service. I believe the maintenance costs are competitive and coupons definitely help. The coupons are (to me) your best reminders to encourage repairs or maintenance. The staff are the best advertisement to come back and they treat women with the same respect as men.
Hello, Lance. Yesterday my husband and I completed a sales transaction for a 2007 Toyota Yaris that I found online last week. Initially, I did your "live chat" with Brad and had planned to drive up to Salem from our home in Klamath Falls to check it out last weekend, but my husband has health issues and we soon realized that he would not be able to make the trip. I called Brad to let him know that we wouldn't be coming after all, and explained why. Brad immediately sprang into action to resolve the problem, and asked how far I thought my husband COULD make it - I told him Medford, so without a moment's hesitation, he asked, "How about I drive the Yaris down to Medford and meet you there?" I was absolutely stunned at the suggestion! Talk about unheard of customer service! SO, to make a long story short, we met Brad and his family for breakfast in Medford yesterday morning, completed the necessary paperwork and payment, had a lovely visit with his very special family, and drove home in our "brand new" (to us) little "clown car."
I remain totally impressed with the extraordinary service given by Brad. He brings new meaning to the term "going the extra mile" - how about over 200 miles??? He was not only generous with his time, but knowledgeable about the car, efficient with the paper work, and actually spent quite some time driving around Medford prior to meeting us in search of a car wash so he could deliver the car to us in pristine condition! Unbelievable but true!
PLEASE extend our deepest gratitude and sincere appreciation to Brad for all that he did for us. Some times words are not enough - this is one of those times.
Again I just want to say what a great experience we had when we purchased the car last week. It was a nice feeling not to be pressured and Brad Meyer was on top of everything. Any questions, worries or concerns were answered quickly by Brad and to our satisfaction.

This was our first experience with Honda of Salem and I would have to say that it was a great one. We had excellent service. Everything went smoothly. We were offered a free loaner car which was great for us because I have three children to shuttle around and we live in Independence. So this made it much easier and affordable to be without our van for a time. And when they found out that a part that they needed wasn't in stock but would be the next day, they simply said, "keep the loaner car overnight and your car will be ready by the afternoon tomorrow." So that was no problem! I had a car to go where we needed to the next morning and then was able to swing by Honda after school with the kids. Shawn was very polite and I appreciated his help in unloading the car with my kids and backpacks!
So we'll definitely be back when the need arises.

Our experience with the Honda dealership in Salem was excellent. Our salesman, Eli Gaspar got us the car we wanted at the price we wanted with very little information. In my own option I think the dealership went well beyond our expectations, they had to go to Tri City for the car. The people in the repair department changed my oil in my 2003 CRV, washed it and vacuumed it out too. They were super polite, efficient and helpful too. Sorry I dont remember their names either. Overall, I dont think the experience could have been any better, it was awesome - and I love my new car, my son inherited my 2003 CRV - and he loves it.

the Honda Service Department in Salem. Jason and Shawn took great care of
my car. In the process, the mechanic found an oil leak and had it repaired
before my warranty runs out in a week. And it's always great to see Greg's

minimize any wait time! I've been bringing my Honda's in for service since

Thanks for your interest. I had forgotten my coupon for oil change at home and was told if I brought it in they would honor the price at checkout. Well we ended up not going home and when they called to say car was ready I asked if they had time to do the recalls on our ridgeline so we traded cars and since I hadn't been home yet Jason found a extra coupon he had and let me use it. I not only appreciated the coupon, I was grateful that they could do the recalls on the truck also. Thanks for having such a great team.
As usual my experience was great. This time I had an appointment in the morning but I overslept and missed it. I decided to go in the afternoon just in case they could fit me in for an oil change. The gentleman at the first desk (I don't remember his name) was available first. I said that I missed my appointment with Joe and needed an oil change. I was impressed because he didn't tell me to wait for Joe. He took my keys and got my car information and then passed me to Joe. He was very friendly and helpful. My guess is commission is a part of this job and so I was very impressed by his helpfulness even though I wasn't "his" customer.
You at O'Brien are always very accommodating when we come over for service. Your driver took my husband to find a place for him to have breakfast while he waited for our car to be serviced..thank you.

My experience with your service department was excellent. I made an appointment and arrived a few minutes early. I was bringing my Honda CRV in for "The Works" oil change and a recall fix. Even though I was expecting to wait about 2 hours, the work was complete in only 1 hour. It was a nice suprise to hear my name called to come to the cashier after only an hour. The waiting room was comfortable and clean. Jason Carter in the service dept was fast, friendly and his experience showed. I would recommend your dealership to anyone.

You know, its always easier to find things wrong rather than good with service. Which makes it hard to reply because I really can't come up with any complaints.
Tony was excellent to work with. No preasure and very good at showing and explaining various options and models. I came in fairly informed about what I could afford and what I needed and what Honda offered and he picked up on that quick and didn't take me through the hoops of sale pitches other deals had.Very personable and professional I'd send family to him.
The only other person I worked with that the financing guy, and I'm terrible with names. But he also, was one of the best people I've had the pleasure to work with on a car 'closing'. Explained things clearly and percisly - and didn't seemed bothered at all when I asked for more details or deeper explaination. Felt very genuine and likeable.
Overall I found the experience very low preasure, the staff very accmodating and helpful.
About the only complain I have, is no free donuts in the waiting area! lol
(The Honda dealer I bought my last Civic from in Nashville had free Krispy Cremes all day, popcorn, and soda. But Nashville is a huge market with only one Honda Dealer and no fewer than 4 or 5 people in there all day long. So it makes more sense for them. Just giving you guys a bad time.

We were very pleased with our experience with Brad. It was so easy to email him and communicate with short phonecalls, texts, and mostly email. He let me know exactly what I could expect to spend and get for financing. I was dealing with another dealership at the same time and it was horrible - I dreaded everytime they called. I have been using O'Brien since the purchase of my Honda Fit almost 4 years ago and while the service has been adequate, this is the first time when I have received complete "red carpet" service. Shawn went above and beyond to handle the simple needs I had. I took the vehicle in during an unexpected break in my schedule and it was serviced very quickly. The car was ready sooner than promised. Absolutely no complaints here. (That is two great service appointments in a row!)
We recently took our Honda van in for an oil change. The rear AC unit had leaked and I asked if they could check it out for me while I had it in. They said they could.....no problem! It turned out to be a plugged water drain which they quickly unplugged for no charge. We so appreciate the great staff at Honda! They are efficient and always do a great job!

We had a great experience with Honda. We went in for an oil change. However, the condensate drain tube in the rear air conditioning unit was plugged. The fellows in the shop took care of it quickly and it was greatly appreciated as it was leaking when we used it. You have a great bunch of guys back there! Thank you!
I apologize for such a long delay in response to your e-mail. As you previously saw, I purchased my brand new 2011 CR-V on Aug. 20th and have logged over 6,000 miles on it since then. We've taken it to the Oregon Coast Aquarium, Long Beach, WA, Mt. Hood and I also use it as my daily driver. The mileage has been great and I'm so glad I decided to go with the EX-L model. I've already purchased the all weather floor mats and cargo mat for it. My son calls it "Mommy's new car" and he loves the sun roof the most. The weekend before Thanksgiving, it snowed 3-4 inches up at my in-laws house near Mt. Hood, so I got to test out the traction control and 4 wheel drive handling on the snowy roads. I look forward to taking it up snowboarding this season and hopefully I can purchase the roof rack and snowboard rack in time!

When I come in Joe (not sure his last name) usually help me. I made an appointment for my 20,000 ish mile check up this last time. That day I went to a parade and was going to be late. Joe was wonderful about changing my appointment time to a little later in the day so I could still come. I don't know if this causes any problems for the mechanics but I really appreciate his willingness to be flexible and the fact everyone lets him do so.
Working with Joe was a very pleasant experience, he has wonderful customer service skills and a keen eye for detail. You have a gem of an employee.

I had a wonderful experience with your colleagues at O’Brien BMW. Engaging in BMW talk with the “infamous knowledgeable” Jimmy, was a truly wonderful experience. Your team jump right on it to resolve all of the car problems. Once the issues was fixed, the car was delivered to my front door. I recently had a car oil change at the Salem Honda complex. The follow up survey was inadvertently deleted from my e-mail, but I wanted to let you know how pleased I was with the service and customer care I received. From the moment I entered the lobby I was welcomed and spoken to in a respectful and clear manner. The options open to me and the service history of my car were explained in detail and although informed of the possible services my car needed, I felt that there was no uncomfortable pressure or "sales" techniques being used to hurry me into making a decision.
The oil change was timely and the new waiting lounge comfortable and warm with complementary coffee, and/or water on offer for those of us who were waiting.
I really think there has been an improvement on the quality of customer care at your facility.
Our experience was just great. Dustin was a big help and went out of his way to make us the best deal he could. He beat out all the Honda Dealers in the state, almost! We love our Fit, too!!
Dear Lance, I cannot say enough about Joe in the service department. He has helped me on several occasions; going what I would think was above and beyond normal customer service. While waiting in your new lounge I was also witness to him helping and answering other questions from other clients. My experience at O'Brien Motors yesterday was very favorable. Joe (the man who took care of me) was very personable, very thorough, and very efficient. The office was very busy (they were short an employee) yet Joe handled not just me but several customers. My car was serviced in a timely manner, I was called when it would be finished, and they washed my car!

I popped in to the service center Monday afternoon this week, as I had been told to do for an oil change (no appointment necessary), and Joe took great care of me, getting the mileage from the car and checking on which backup light it was that was out. It took about an hour, as I had been told it would, and the cost was actually a little less than the estimate (always a pleasant surprise). Joe went over the mechanic's report with me to let me know of a few items I might want to have checked out the next time I come in, and I left, only to find I couldn't start the car. Joe came out and helped me - the steering wheel had locked, and needed to be "unlocked" in order for the key to turn the ignition on.
I was very satisfied with the service, the length of the wait, and the extra help with solving the problem of starting my car.
Although its hard to get to the dealer for vehicle upkeep with a busy schedule, the Honda dealership in Salem always makes the experience pleasurable, they are always courteous, knowledgable and always have time to explain things to me when I ask for an explanation.
I always dreaded going to get my car taken care of even if it was an oil change but the Honda Dealership, I don’t dread it, I just have the problem of finding the time to do it.
I appreciate the people at the dealership and hope they never never never leave.

These folks are the real deal. Brought in my '09 Fit for a diagnostic and learned that the "issue" was self-inflicted and basic; the guys were great and even explained things in a way that didn't make me feel like a total dork. Everyone up front was very helpful, as always. Customer service seems to be a clear priority here.

The people that helped me were genuine, honest, and weren't pushy at all. purchased a 2004 Toyota corola here and I was very happy with my purchase. I looked at a lot of used Hondas and used toyota's but finally decided on the corola. I looked at 6 different cars at different dealerships and the nicest one I found was at this dealership. I really appreciate the time they took to show me the history on the car and they have called me a few times to make sure everything is still going great. I would very much recommend this dealership.

I took my Honda CRV in for a routine oil change in September. Jason Carter
greeted me in a friendly, professional manner. He attended to each detail
appropriate to the service and my concern with my noisy brakes. He directed
me to the new customer lounge as it was my first time to this lounge.
The lounge was very comfortable. It was set up to meet most every possible
need one could have waiting for servicing to be completed. The only
possible addition could be a snack machine, if one was not already there.
Sometimes a wait can be longer than anticipated due to unexpected findings
in the servicing.
All in all it was a great visit. My wait was short. I cannot say enough
about Jason. He gives recommendations, respects customer requests, is very
knowledgeable, does not argue (which I have had experience with in the
past), and is a pleasure to work with. I will request him for every visit.
Completing my visit was paying my bill, which was fully explained to me
before servicing. Honda cashiers have always been very amiable and
O'Brien/Delon Honda has been my dealership of choice for 3 cars and 24 years
P.S. Greg Anderson is a superb leader of the Servicing Department.

I really appreciated your sales staff listening to what I wanted in a car, and making it happen. The color of the CR-V wasn't available in the valley, but Brandon searched for it and found it. It was quite of few miles away, but they could get it. The car was delayed one day and I didn't have a ride up to your showroom, no problem we will send someone down to pick you up. I wanted leather seats, no problem we can get it done. And provide a loaner car.

I apologize for the slow response. I left on vacation right after my visit to Honda. I greatly appreciated the wonderful service. The whole ordeal with the auto glass company and my windshield replacement was quite a challenge. However, the team at O'Brien was wonderful!
I received a loaner car while the shop checked the car to ensure the problem wasn't with the wipers and was with the newly replaced windshield. The experience with Action Auto Glass was highly frustrating and O'Brien staff made the experience tolerable. Finally, the Action Auto Glass admitted the new windshield was warped and agreed to replace it.
I appreciate the great service and knowing that if I have a problem I can expect wonderful support and service!
After my first experience at O'Brien, I was nervous about going back. My friend took my vehicle in for me, as I had to work. I understand that he was very well taken care of by both you and the service person you set him up with. I was placed in a loaner car that was much better equipped to handle the size of myself and my family, and when I received my car back, it had been cleaned as well as serviced. I want to send you my most sincere thanks for taking care of us. I no longer have reservations about bringing my vehicle back to O'Brien.

Everyone I worked with there was exceptional, and I'm very happy with my purchase! I had a very good experience. Not only was Shawn good, but your afternoon pick-up driver was great. He was very professional and courteous. I’m not sure of his name (sorry). Shawn went over my service line by line, plus explained to me why my breaks re-act differently when I have a full tank of gas, which was concerning to me until I understood.

I was very pleased with the service I received from the O'Brien Auto Group. In particular, your staff was very friendly and welcoming, the car was ready when promised, and your service manager did not try to sell me additional services. It is very rare for me to take my car in for services without the service dept pushing for additional "must be done" services. This was the first time that I used your service department, and I will be back.
One possible suggestion----are you able to offer a frequent service card, for example, buy 6 oil changes, get the 7th one free?
Your dealership has once again shown what customer service is all about. Picking my car up, servicing it and returning it to me as promised shows great customer service and it is greatly appreciated.

My experience at O'Brien was easy. I had stopped by to look at a car I saw online. When I arrived, that particular car had sold but there was a comparable car I was shown. I received more than I expected for my trade-in, which was a pleasant surprise. I did have to return to re-sign my contract because the terms changed but appreciated that I was compensated my gas since I had to drive back to Salem from the coast.

Wow! I have had the most amazing experience at
Honda of Salem. Toni was very patient with me while I test drove multiple
vehicles trying to figure out what I wanted. Never did I feel pressured or
obligated to purchase a vehicle and that is VERY important to me. He even
searched the used cars for another make that I was considering as well. He
was knowledgable about the vehicles and very personable. I've done a lot of
car shopping in the past weeks and I can't say the same about other dealers
or their sales associates. I enjoyed the honesty and professionalism of the
team here. I'm especially happy with my purchase because I was given the
time and information to make my decision without pressure. I LOVE my new
honda fit! I will definitely recommend this dealership and especially Toni!
The service was great as usual. Chad was tied up on the phone for quite some time when I came to drop off the car. Another person stepped in and took care of me just as well. I told them I would return in 90 minutes and when I returned the car was just coming from the car wash. Got the bill paid quickly and was on my way!
First of all, Jason at your service desk was helpful as always. We really liked your new waiting area, too. Granddaughter found the toy section right away and that kept her busy while I played some games on your computer, keeping me busy. The time flew.
Car was done quickly (or, see above!) and was clean.
The only downside to the service was I had prepaid for an oil change through Groupon, then forgot to use it! Thankfully, I can use it next time as the expiration date is five months out.
As always my experience with my auto service was excellent. I was greeted right away, intake was taken quickly and the service was completed in under the time I was quoted. I am very pleased with the service.
In the end, everything went very well. I love my new VW Jetta TDI, and recently came in to Honda (yesterday), to have one more service done (oil change/break fluid and clutch fluid change) on my Civic that I purchased 12 years ago when your organization was Delon. I sold my Civic today! Sad to see it go, but happy to be in a mid-sized car.
Overall the car buying experience is overwhelming in general; however, I know that your sales team and management understand this, and I feel like the deal went great regardless of any bumps. I also want to give Kudos to Jon (I cannot recall his last name at the moment) Finance advisor in BMW. He was incredibly helpful, professional, knowledgeable, patient,and was even able to help my husband and I get a lower rate than we were already approved for by our credit union. I think Jon's customer service should definitely be acknowledged.
I'm sure we will be coming back, as we want to keep our purchases local. Who knows, maybe I will upgrade in to BMV next time (12 years from now... just kidding).
Tony was incredible. Period. The man who did the financing papers for the lease was also very good. I had a deadline to meet, and he got it done.

Thank you for your e-mail. I have to tell you that I really enjoyed coming to O'Brien's, and working with Stan. What started out as just looking to see what was avalabe turned into buying the right car! Stan is a wonderful car dealer, and you are very lucky to have him. He was patient, did not push or try to hard sell the car I bought, and was just a most pleasant guy to work with. I certainly plan on bringing my car back to O'Brien's because of the wonderful customer service I received from Stan, and from Robert when I brought my car in to check the engine light. David was also great to work with in dealing with all the paperwork, and he has a great sense of humor (and also found a great interest rate on the loan!). It was over all a terrific experience, and I look forward to dealing with O'Brien's in the future!
We had a good time Friday evening leasing our new 2012 Civic from the O'Brien Group. It was late - closing time, but the team forged forward to complete the necessary paperwork and allow us to drive home with our new vehicle. Thanks for going the extra mile! We are very pleased with the new ride.
Service was great. I was surprised and pleased to hear from you all about a recall, happy with the flexibility of times and with the speedy turnaround. Service was prompt and friendly.
My only issue with the whole experience was trying to find the service department. No big deal, just asked in the showroom. Perhaps I just didn't see it but a sign above the ramp headed down to the service department could be useful.

It was far the best customer service I’ve experienced with Honda. I brought my car in for its 60K service. Shayne was very professional and explained everything in great detail. He also had the shop replace a screw on the front bumper of my car at no charge. Thank you for the great customer service.
I had my Honda serviced (oil change, etc.) at O'briens last week, and as usual,I was happy with how I was treated. Jason is very good at the front desk. He makes sure that I understand what scheduled maintenance needs to be done, but is not pushy. I've scheduled an appointment for next Thursday for some maintenance procedures for my '06 Civic.
By the way, the new customer lounge is very nice, and I'll take my cross-stitch with me and just stay there for the two hours that my car is being serviced.
I apologize for not responding with feedback closer to the purchase date, but I have been busy driving! I purchased a 2011 Honda Fit from Ryan Pfaff on 9/9/11 through your on-line service area. The experience was extremely easy. Ryan was extremely responsive and very friendly. I will certainly recommend the Obrien auto group and Ryan to anyone.
recently had to bring our Odyssey for some issues with the locks. Joe was a fabulous service manager, as always. He was even able to get a part in earlier than expected! It was unfortunate that the locks had the issue with what I would consider a fairly new vehicle, but at least we received good service!
My wife and I just purchased a Honda CRV from your shop just this past weekend. We had dreaded doing the car shopping as we both are not much for the sales pitches and the pressure sometimes applied to customers when car shopping. All that changed when John Steward introduced himself to us.
Never once did my wife and I feel pressured, pushed, or rushed into making a choice about the car and that is a credit to John. He became more then a salesman but rather a friend that was easy to talk to, easy to deal with, and very helpful with questions we might have regarding the car and the process. In previous experiences we had individuals that did not listen to our needs, wants and ideas but rather looking to make a sale, this was not the case with John. In fact a salesman drove us away from purchasing with another dealer due to his constant phone calls, and inability to listen to what we wanted. John is the reason we purchased a car at your store.
John should be commended on a job well done, and he is a very special employee for you and good to have, you are lucky.

We recently had our '09 Honda Accord in for maintenance regarding a recall notice. The person who took the order was great. We decided to go with a regular maintenance also while the car was there. When I picked up the car, I was able to use a 15% coupon on the cost of the maintenance. The car was clean inside and out. Really; it was an exceptional experience.
